Pickin' In The Park

BOTMA hosts Pickin' In The park

In the Summer months BOTMA sponsors Pickin In The Park as opposed to our stage shows. These events are a combination of informal jam sessions and a picnic. These are held at Thompson County Park in Lincroft, New Jersey.

You are invited to bring a picnic lunch and your lawn chairs and come and enjoy these informal jam sessions. You never know who will show up to spend the day pickin . There is no charge for attending these jams, they are free. The jam starts at 1:00 PM.

Please understand that these are not stage shows. At any given time there could be four or five sessions going on. The musicians will spread out over a wide area. If you are sitting someplace and you are hearing two jams at the same time simply move your chair closer to the jam you want to listen to. Please don t ask the musicians in the other jam to be quiet.

Bring the family. The new park visitor center is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with restroom facilities available. There s plenty to do at Thompson County Park. Please watch the schedule for the dates and times of these jams.

Remember: Stay hydrated, try to stay in the shade and use sun screen!
